How we do this

  • Conduct an initial interview assessment
  • You gather evidence with assistance of Chef Central trainer/assessor, e.g. Photos, video, references
  • Chef Central conducts a Workplace Assessment by means of a site visit, in a functional kitchen
  • Moderation and Compliance Panel (a panel of experts) issue the Qualifications

What is our criteria

  • Minimum 4 years in a chosen field. Eg 4 years in Hospitality (Cook or Chef)
  • You can provide contactable references to support this and testimonials as to workmanship and quality
  • Be available for a workplace assessment in a functional kitchen
  • Provide a current resume/ CV
  • Work together with Chef Central to complete the process
  • You must have all Documentation signed by a declaration authority

Timeframe to Completion

  • Phase 1 - Enrolment - on receipt of a completed enrolment form and fee the process begins
  • Phase 2 - Evidence Collection - this is as quick as you can gather the evidence and provide to the Chef Central Assessor
  • Phase 3 - Assessment - within 21 days of receiving all of the evidence, the Chef Central Assessor will work with you to complete the process, through formulating a portfolio of evidence and make a final decision for the panel
  • Phase 4 - Panel Judgement - this panel meets each Friday and will issue qualifications from here - allow 7 days for this process.

Where to from here?

  • Chef Central sends Qualification and documentation to client
  • Chef Central maintains documentation for a period of 30 years as required by Australian Law
